A man was was killed and eaten by a lion in Zambia.
Lantone Phiri was out walking in his home town of Nyimba in the east of Zambia.
At this time of year Lions are known to come near human territory to seek mates.
A local source confirmed, "This man was badly eaten by the lion. The issue is that this is the mating season for the lions so they move a lot."
It is rare for lions to attack humans, but as man's ever growing need for land for homes and farming continues unabated, lions and people come into contact more and more.
This is second attack in the area in recent months, and last week a woman was eaten by a lion in Kenya after it strayed from a game reserve.
